Challenge
The brief
Tidal's pre-launch product analytics tool needed a dashboard people would actually look at every day. Existing prototypes were dense, slow, and required a five-step path to any metric.
Approach
How we worked
- 01Audited the prototype with three target users from a Rotterdam fintech.
- 02Identified the four metrics they checked daily and elevated them to a "morning glance" row.
- 03Built a typography and chart system tuned for dark mode and 1080p displays.
- 04Shipped a working Figma prototype + tokenised design system in three weeks.
Solution
What we shipped.
- 01
Glance row
Top of every page surfaces the four metrics users open the dashboard to see. No clicks, no filters.
- 02
Living charts
All time-series charts have hover scrubs, comparison overlays, and a single-click "explain this dip" annotation thread.
- 03
Editor handover
Dashboards are configurable per-user without devs. Roles, saved views, exportable reports.
